The Sea

She wakes up with a smile
Wider than the sun,
Her teeth dancing in a row-
Stacked like seashells,
Her lips parting to make way for the joy.

Her hair is as free as the sea.
Ringlets of the salty sea air-
Refreshing, pure.

She reclines in a cloud,
Ready for her day of work.
Her manicured hand,
Poised in the sky
Spreading her magic
To those who need it:

The lonely,
The lost-
The ones who need some direction.
A flick of her hand,
And the sun glows a little brighter.
The grass- feels a little softer.
The world- grows a little lighter.

  1. Great imagery!
Everything is described so simply precise. I smelled (smelt?) the ocean. I'm wishing I'm in New England in the summertime right now.

    This is really great.
